Privacy policy
Company XYZ IO LLC operates companyxyz.io as a documentation and product site. This policy explains what information the site processes, why we process it, and the choices available to you.
We have deliberately limited tracking and collection. We do not use advertising trackers, sell personal information, or monitor your Shopify admin or storefront through this site.
Information we process
Section titled “Information we process”Site delivery and security
Section titled “Site delivery and security”When you visit, our hosting provider receives standard request data such as your IP address, browser type, requested page, and language preference. We use this information to deliver and protect the site, diagnose failures, and prevent abuse. Rate-limit records expire automatically within minutes to an hour.
Optional analytics
Section titled “Optional analytics”We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic and improve the site. GA4 can process pages viewed, referrers, approximate location, device information, and browser identifiers, and can set analytics cookies.
GA4 is off unless you opt in. If you decline, we do not load its scripts. We use its aggregate reports rather than attempting to identify individual visitors, and advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization remain disabled.
Contact and support
Section titled “Contact and support”If you contact us, we receive the information you submit, such as your name, email address, message, page context, and optional attachments. We also process limited request metadata, including IP address, browser type, and language preference, to prevent abuse and help us respond. Contact messages are delivered to Company XYZ through Resend.
Newsletter
Section titled “Newsletter”If you subscribe, we send your email address and marketing consent to Klaviyo so it can deliver Company XYZ news and product updates. You can unsubscribe through any marketing email.
Documentation feedback
Section titled “Documentation feedback”If you vote on whether a page was helpful or leave a comment, we receive your vote, optional comment, page URL, locale, a browser-session identifier, and limited request metadata. Feedback is delivered to Company XYZ through Resend and used to improve our documentation.
Storage in your browser
Section titled “Storage in your browser”The site uses:
- localStorage for analytics consent, theme and interface preferences, optional contact-form drafts and submission summaries, and newsletter form status.
- sessionStorage for temporary navigation state and documentation-feedback sessions.
- IndexedDB for contact-form attachment drafts.
This browser data remains on your device unless you submit the associated form. We do not read browser storage server-side. You can remove it by clearing site data in your browser.
How we use information
Section titled “How we use information”We use information only as reasonably necessary to:
- Operate, secure, and improve the site.
- Respond to messages and provide support.
- Send updates you requested.
- Review documentation feedback.
- Meet legal obligations and protect our rights.
Service providers and external content
Section titled “Service providers and external content”Company XYZ uses four providers to operate the core site:
- Cloudflare for hosting, security, rate limiting, and all site-operated CDN, image, and video delivery.
- Google Analytics for optional, consent-gated analytics.
- Resend for direct server-to-server delivery of contact and feedback messages.
- Klaviyo for direct server-to-server newsletter subscriptions and delivery.
Google Analytics is the only service we intentionally allow to set optional analytics cookies, and it does so only after consent. Our Resend and Klaviyo integrations do not load tracking scripts or set cookies in your browser. Cloudflare processes network requests as the infrastructure that delivers and protects the site; we do not use it for advertising.
Some documentation includes optional third-party YouTube videos. These embeds are not part of our CDN. Requesting or playing that media may send request data to YouTube, which handles it under its own privacy terms.
These providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States, subject to their applicable safeguards and terms.
Retention and security
Section titled “Retention and security”Browser data remains until you clear it or the site replaces it. Newsletter information remains until you unsubscribe or request deletion. We retain correspondence, feedback, and operational records only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including support, security, and legal obligations.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.
