Follow on shop button
Use this block to add a simple follow action for customers who want updates from your store in the Shop app. For a broader overview of how theme blocks work, see Shopify documentation on sections and blocks. It fits best in footer and utility areas where quick, low-friction actions make sense.
Alignment settings
Section titled “Alignment settings”Use the desktop and mobile alignment controls to place the button where it feels natural in the surrounding layout. Separate alignment settings are useful when a centered mobile layout needs a different position on larger screens.
When this block sits beside menus, social links, or contact details, matching their alignment usually creates the cleanest result.
Layout settings
Section titled “Layout settings”These settings help the block fit neatly into flexible footer-style layouts. You can let it stretch into remaining desktop space, or force it into a new row or column when nearby content feels crowded.
Use fill behavior when you want the block to help balance uneven columns. Use a new row or column when the button needs more breathing room or should stand apart from dense lists of links. For related layout guidance, see footer layout.
Standard block settings
Section titled “Standard block settings”Visibility settings
Section titled “Visibility settings”Use visibility controls to show this block on desktop, mobile, or both. This is helpful when your smaller-screen layout needs a cleaner footer or when the follow action works better in a different location on one device size.
See visibility settings.
If you hide this block on one device size, make sure customers can still find the same follow action elsewhere in that layout.
Usage notes
Section titled “Usage notes”- Choose a utility placement. Add this block where customers expect quick actions, such as a footer column or support area.
- Match nearby alignment. Keep the button aligned with surrounding content so it feels integrated instead of visually detached.
- Use layout controls to solve spacing. Try fill, new row, or new column settings before relocating the block entirely.
- Plan mobile visibility carefully. Hide the block on smaller screens only if another placement already covers the same purpose.
- Review both screen sizes. Desktop and mobile settings can produce different alignment, visibility, and spacing, so check the block in both layouts before publishing.
- Avoid crowded surroundings. Give the button enough separation from large link groups or promotional content so it stays easy to notice.
