Share/print UI

Add share and print buttons that fit your layout on desktop and mobile.

Add this block when you want lightweight page actions that help customers share content or print it without adding much visual clutter. It works best in places where utility actions should be easy to spot but secondary to the main content. See Company XYZ documentation on the Share/print UI block.

The main settings control which actions appear and how the icons look in the layout. You can show the share button, the print button, or both, depending on what is useful for the content on that page.

Use the icon color to either blend these actions into the surrounding design or give them a little more emphasis. If the block sits on a dark, colorful, or image-heavy background, check that the icons still stand out clearly.

Enable only the actions customers are likely to use. On tightly focused layouts, extra utility buttons can distract from the main goal.

Use this group to control horizontal alignment on desktop and mobile separately. This helps the block feel connected to nearby content instead of looking dropped into the layout as an afterthought.

Different alignments can work better at different screen sizes. A placement that feels balanced on desktop may look awkward on mobile, so it is worth checking both views before publishing. For a broader overview, see Shopify documentation on sections and blocks

Visibility controls when this block appears on different device sizes. This is useful when you want utility actions in one position on desktop and a different position on mobile. See Company XYZ documentation on visibility settings.

If you hide the block on one device size, make sure customers can still find the same action elsewhere when it matters.

  1. Keep utility actions selective. Show only the share and print options that make sense for the page content.
  2. Check icon contrast. Make sure the icon color stays easy to see against the surrounding background.
  3. Align with nearby content. Match the block placement to the content it supports so the actions feel intentional.
  4. Review mobile separately. Confirm alignment and visibility on smaller screens instead of relying on the desktop setup.
  5. Avoid repeated actions. If share or print controls appear elsewhere on the page, use visibility settings to reduce duplication.
