Payment icons
Use this block to show accepted payment method icons as a quick trust signal in footer and utility areas. It works best when you want customers to confirm available payment options at a glance without adding extra text.
The icons reflect the payment methods you have enabled. For the canonical feature reference, see the source-provided Payment icons guide. For a broader overview of where blocks fit in a theme, see Shopify documentation on sections and blocks
Alignment settings
Section titled “Alignment settings”Use the alignment controls to position the icons cleanly on desktop and mobile. Separate alignment choices for each screen size help you keep the block balanced in wide footer rows while still looking tidy on smaller screens.
If this block sits beside menus, social icons, or copyright text, adjust mobile alignment independently instead of forcing one arrangement to work everywhere. That usually produces a cleaner utility layout.
Layout settings
Section titled “Layout settings”These settings help the block fit into more complex footer layouts. You can let the block stretch across remaining desktop space, or place it in a new row or column when it needs clearer separation from nearby content.
Use these controls when the payment icons are competing with other small footer elements. Giving the block more room often improves readability and keeps the row from feeling crowded. For broader layout guidance, see the source-provided footer layout reference.
Fill available space affects desktop layout only. Always review the mobile result separately so the block still feels intentional on smaller screens.
Standard block settings
Section titled “Standard block settings”Visibility settings
Section titled “Visibility settings”Use visibility controls when you want the block to appear only on desktop or only on mobile. This is useful when payment icons support a fuller desktop footer but feel repetitive or cramped in a compact mobile layout.
Hide the block only when the surrounding layout still gives customers enough confidence about payment options. For shared behavior details, see the source-provided visibility reference. If you need help finding these controls in the editor, see Shopify documentation on the theme editor
Usage notes
Section titled “Usage notes”- Place it near trust content. Add payment icons in footer or utility areas where customers naturally look for store reassurance.
- Tune mobile separately. Check both desktop and mobile layouts, because alignment and spacing can feel different across viewports.
- Use extra space deliberately. Stretch the block or move it to a new row only when nearby footer content feels cramped.
- Keep the role simple. Use this block for quick visual confirmation of accepted payment methods, not as a replacement for fuller payment or policy messaging.
- Hide with intent. If you show the block on only one device type, make sure the overall layout still feels complete and trustworthy.
