Work with blocks

Blocks are customizable modules within sections of your Align page templates. Use them to add content such as text, images, links, and buttons while customizing your theme in Shopify.

Available block types depend on the section. Some Align sections include a fixed set of blocks, while others let you choose from a broader selection up to the section’s block limit.

Note

When a section reaches its block limit, Shopify displays a message and + Add block is unavailable until you remove an existing block.

Add a block

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes
2. Find Align, then click Customize.
3. From the dropdown menu, select the template that contains the section you want to edit. For more information, see Shopify documentation on templates
4. Select the section to load its content in the preview and open its available options.
5. Click + Add block, then select a block. You can also use the Search bar to find a block.
6. Click Save.
