Use Shopify’s media editor to configure 3D product models for products in your Align store without editing code. You can refine a model’s lighting, background color, exposure, zoom, and initial camera view to help customers view it clearly.

Edit a 3D model

1. Open a product that includes a 3D model.

2. In the Media section, select the 3D icon on the model image, then select Edit file.

Edit model lighting

The Lighting options open by default. Choose one of the following adjustments:

1. Under Environment, select a preset filter to change the shadows and reflections shown on the model.
2. Under Lighting, use the exposure slider to make the 3D model appear brighter or darker.
3. Under Background, choose a background color with the color picker or enter a hex color value. Select Use transparent background if you want no visible background.
4. Select Done to save your changes, or select Reset to restore the model to its original state.

Edit model camera view

1. Open the model editor and select the Camera icon to view its camera options.

2. Adjust the model’s starting view as needed:

   • X Rotation changes the vertical rotation angle.
   • Y Rotation changes the horizontal rotation angle.
   • Zoom changes how closely the model appears in its initial view.

3. Select Done to save your changes, or select Reset to restore the original view.

Tip

Set the initial camera view to highlight the product angle or detail that is most useful to customers.
