Add Align to your theme library
Section titled “Add Align to your theme library”Align is your Company XYZ theme for Shopify. To install it, add your purchased copy of Align to your Shopify theme library, then preview and customize it before publishing.
- From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Apps and sales channels.
- Select Online store, then click Open sales channel.
- Select Themes.
- Click Add themes > Visit Theme Store.
- Find your purchased copy of Align and add it to your theme library. For Shopify’s platform instructions, see add a theme
- In Theme library, preview Align and make your initial configuration changes. You can use the theme editor to customize settings such as brand colors, style, and products; see Shopify’s documentation on customizing themes
- Publish Align when you are ready for it to be the live theme for your online store. Only purchased themes can be published.
Work with theme library copies and previews
Section titled “Work with theme library copies and previews”You can keep multiple themes in your Shopify theme library to test a new design, prepare a seasonal version, or work on a copy of your published Align theme. You can preview any theme in the library, but Shopify allows only one published theme at a time.
When you publish a different theme, the previously published theme remains available on the Themes page in Shopify. This lets you return to an earlier version if needed.
Shopify Theme Store purchases are licensed only for the store where they were originally purchased. Unlicensed themes are not eligible for support or updates when new features are released.
Manage theme limits
Section titled “Manage theme limits”The number of themes you can add depends on your Shopify plan. You can add up to 20 themes on your Shopify account; for Shopify Plus limits, see Shopify Plus
If you reach your plan limit, remove a theme before adding another one.
Upload an Align ZIP file
Section titled “Upload an Align ZIP file”Upload Align only when you have an actual downloaded or backed-up Align theme ZIP file on your computer. Follow Shopify’s instructions to upload a theme, then preview the uploaded copy before publishing it.
Get help with Align
Section titled “Get help with Align”For Align configuration, theme features, and theme-specific support, start with the Company XYZ support team. Shopify notes that support and updates for paid themes are provided by the theme developer
For advanced customizations beyond your web-development experience, Shopify provides a directory for hiring a Shopify Partner. Contact Shopify support for Shopify-admin, account, billing, plan, or other platform-owned concerns.
Shopify Theme Store purchase context
Section titled “Shopify Theme Store purchase context”This article assumes you have already purchased Align. If you need Shopify’s general information about evaluating or purchasing a paid theme, see try a paid theme and purchase a theme
Shopify also provides instructions to add a free theme, but this is separate from installing your purchased Align theme.
Third-party theme purchases from the Shopify Theme Store are final sale. Theme developers cannot provide refunds for these transactions.
