Theme support

Learn how to get Company XYZ support for Align and when to use Shopify resources.

For help with Align features, settings, troubleshooting, or supported customizations, start with Company XYZ’s Align support. Before requesting a change, identify the business goal and confirm whether the change can be made with Align’s existing theme-editor settings.

Basic changes may be supported, while extensive customizations can require additional development help. For needs outside theme support, review Shopify’s design policy and additional theme support resources

Align is a paid theme created and supported by Company XYZ. Use Company XYZ documentation and support for questions about Align, including its features, configuration, and theme-specific behavior.

You can also access the theme developer’s resources through Shopify:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes
  2. Find Align, then select Customize.
  3. Select Theme actions.
  4. Select View documentation or Get support.

Shopify also explains how to contact a paid theme’s developer

Contact Shopify Support for Shopify-admin, account, billing, or platform concerns. Questions about Align itself should go to Company XYZ.

Shopify’s complimentary design-support policy applies to eligible Shopify-owned free themes, not Align. Merchants on the Basic Shopify plan or higher can review the Shopify Design Policy for current eligibility, time allowances, and supported changes.

Shopify Support does not generally help with:

  • Editing checkout.
  • Customizing or troubleshooting themes with significant code changes.
  • Installing, removing, or modifying third-party apps not developed by Shopify.
  • Customizing or troubleshooting third-party code, including code from forums and Shopify Partners.
  • Customizing or troubleshooting content added with the rich text editor
  • Adding new fonts.
  • Editing images, including cropping, color-profile adjustments, or background removal.
  • Making changes that provide misleading or deceptive information to customers.
  • Providing custom translation services, including order-printer and email-notification templates.

For context about Shopify-owned free themes, Shopify recommends completing the initial store setup, checking its customization limitations, reviewing available theme-editor customization options, and consulting its theme-selection guidance. These policies do not replace Company XYZ support for Align.
